Now Lessee, what kinda pics do I got?...
My Favorite Pic of Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture:
FF OAV Reviews
"Fatal Fury: The Legend of the Hungry Wolf": This was an okay movie. The storyline was pretty good. I saw the Motion Picture first so this cleared up alot about Liliy, Terry's girlfriend. The acting on Andy's part was kinda' funny. Go to my download section and get "Andyacting.wav" (a .wav file) to understand what I'm saying. They put alot of detail in the story line for...uhmm...However long the movie was, wait, I think it was about 50 mins. My overall rating: 4 out of 5. That may seem lenient but I'm being honest. I love Masami Obari's style of animating the movie.
I didn't see the second movie.
"Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture": This was the best anime I've ever seen. To get another one of my less detailed opinions of this movie go to my Anime page. Any way, here's the more detailed speech. This movie inspired me to pull out my old SNES and play the Super Famicom version of Garoudensetsu Special (Fatal Fury Special). I'm not too good yet 'cuz I forgot all of the awsome moves. The only thing I didn't like about the movie is that Kim Kaphwan (One of my favorite characters in the game, second to Terry Bogard) didn't get a main part. The music was awsome, I might have some of those in MP3 format hanging around my download section. The storyline was awsome. One scene, though, was kinda hard to follow. It's when Sulia (Terry's, uh, co-actress besides Mai Shiranui) was talking in the background and the scene was taking place in an airplane while they were on their way to Rhodos Island. At first, I thought Sulia was talking on the plane, until her voice was coming out of everyone elses mouth but her's. Finally I figured out that she was actually talking on the way to the cave on Rhodos Island in a boat and they were just showing the scene on the plane silently. Enough babble. I give this GREAT movie a 5 out of 5. There was a little goofs there but nothing serious. Maybe a bad acted scene here or there but that's about it, they were really small. Oh, It was about 100 mins. long.
Favorite Characters
Terry Bogard: I like Terry Bogard because of his freestyle fighting. He's got a variety of moves that are pretty effective. One of my favorites are "Power Gyser" from FF:TMP. Funny though, I've only seen it there in the movie. I never saw it used in the game, not even at the hardest level. Maybe it's because it nuked a building, hmmmm. Also, I like "Crack Shot." It was used in FF:TMP twice, at least that's how many times he yelled it out while executing the move. I've seen something like it in the game, but in the movie he lands sitting down after he flips over kicking his target in the face, but in the game he lands on his feet. His power level's pretty high as well. He defeated the god of war after all. He's just a really cool character, that pretty much sums it all up.
Kim Kaphwan: I like Kim Kaphwan because, well, as with Terry, the fighting style rocks. He fights with his feet. In TMP he got really messed up by the hypnotized Cheng Sin Zan (I might have spelled the name wrong) but he made a real good comeback. Kim messed Cheng up good. He was real quick about it too. In the game he has a variety of moves which I used to know all of but I forgot all of them and I can't get them back because I lost the book when I was moving here to the US. He's also a really good character, I used to beat the game with him. I was disapointed at TMP because he didn't get a main part in it. He just showed up in the beginning and got whupped up but, still, he one the fight.
Mai Shiranui: I like Mai because she adds a comic relief to the mostly dark and complicated world of Fatal Fury. She's always keeping Andy company, which sometimes he doesn't want (e.g. TMP when the group broke into two groups). She's the "bounciest" kunoichi (female ninja) I've ever seen, in the movies and in the games. When ever she beats some one up with her fans (which she seems to have alot in her, uh, back pocket?) she bounces like light off a mirror (I hope we all know what kind of bounce I'm talking about). She has a more serious side too. Like near the end of TMP, she starts to fight but accidentally distracts Andy and almost getting them both killed or when she was talking to Sulia, she was talking like she was gonna' die along with every one else. I hear that she didn't get a main part in the second movie though. Overall she's apretty awsome (and pretty, uh, pretty) character. As I said before, she adds a good comic relief to the movies.
